Sister No. 4 is home! She arrived yesterday with one of her wonderful college buddies. We are starting (and finishing) Christmas decorating. I cannot believe it is this Wednesday! I shall be uploading sheep photos shortly. Joyous Advent, Rowan Broom

Well! Once again, apologies for not posting as regularly as I could! If anyone care, that is. :) I am puzzling my small brain as to how I can upload photos here. Hmmm.... And here we are! Finally I took the time to snoop around on my blog and, voila! I think this picture is rather amusing and have thought similarly to this kitty before. ;)
Well! It's past Thanksgiving and on to Advent now!!!!!! It' is snowing today, accompanied by a wind from the west; brrr! Pandora offers us lovely Christmas music to help with the mood. Things are (sort of) calming down here now. Oh well! They'll pick up as Christmas nears! Stay warm!
Well! Apologies for not posting in so long! Soooo many things have happened! I shall try to cover a few things, though, and in order. First, my dear brother and I were confirmed. Come Holy Spirit! Second, a tragedy in the family; a week ago today, something very, very sad happened. People just finished leaving today. Anyway, I still haven't learned how to upload photos! Sorry about that, I shall have to ask my dear sister how. Signing out! Ann
Pie Time! Sorry for not posting in a while! In case you're wondering, this piece of Pie is Lemon Meringue. Nothing  much is new here, working on and off on various duties.  Kittens abound, so it seems; Seven of them! Six here, one at a friend's house. Turkeys too, too many. Three horses. Quite a few  sheep. One duck. Lots of chickens. Uncounted mice. A few rats. Pigeons galore. Swallows in great abundance.  And so on. A (usually) peaceful farm. Au Revoir!
Well, Pie, here we are! It is just another day at this lovely acreage where I am staying. The kittens skittering about, chickens stealing cat scraps, turkeys wandering all over the place. I awoke this morning with the noise of a crop-duster flying low above the fields. The sunlight dappling the gravel driveway is comforting, the glimpsees of two horses in a pen are simple and quiet. Taking a moment, I imagine this farm in the rain; warm summer rain: lovely. May this day bring you peace as well. Pie it Up!
Hello Pie! It's another lovely day at the Honrath's farm, Sunday, to be exact. I apologise for not posting lately, and for not yet learning how to upload photos. :-/ Well..... this past Friday, myself, young Mr. Honrath, and many of our friends went dancing. It is such fun! Waltz, Tango, Cha-cha, Foxtrot, Swing, Jitterbug and more! Yesterday was a quiet day, sort of. Just chillaxing at home and petting kittens. It promises to be a fairly interesting week; may it be so for you, too!
The Pie was delicious! We would like to recover from the wedding and people, but we can't. Now is our County Fair! My dear family friend, Mrs. Honrath, will be using a spinning wheel in the Round Barn. And other family friends will be having a booth! Cicadas are now singing in the trees outside, Summer is slowly leaving. May the Autumn be mild, the Winter be short, and Friends prevail.

Pielettes

Well, today many of the Honraths' guests departed. Minnesota good byes, (even though this is Iowa) were plenty. Actually, however, we do have two Pies in the house! One of the lovely Honrath girls made a peach pie and an apple pie yesterday! We are all just chilling out here, some of us are cleaning and others are working on whatever needs to be done. But, seeing as it's Sunday, we probably won't work more than is needed.  May you always have enough Pie!
Pie Again! The Wedding went well; two wonderful people vowing to be true until they die! After the reception, many friends came to the Honraths' house, myself included. There was soda for the few young ones and other beverages for the adults. I believe everyone enjoyed it. Rain early this morning has not dampened spirits much, and those who stayed the night seem content. May safe travel and wonderful days be with all!

Pie it Up!

Here is more Pie! This is a busy day in my Honrath friends' house! Some of our mutual friends are getting married! May God bless them on this happy day! Company is everywhere here, talking, eating, laughing, all in good fellowship. I am, of course, part of the company; I even have my very own permanent bedroom! Sadly, there isn't any Pie at this gathering, though there are other foods in great plenty.

The Pie

This is, obviously, the first piece of my Pie. This Pie is named after a small, stupid sheep, named Pie. Pie was too long, we think, in the birth canal of his mother, another sheep. As a result, he had brain damage, which eventually did disappear. While it lasted though, he was piteously amusing; turning his small head over his back, til the two touched. From this, he was named Stargazing Pie. The "Pie" because he is spotted black and white; Cute as Pie! Pie is a normal lamb now; small, plump, and stupid. Pictures of Pie are hopefully to follow.
